Adopt a Hydrant Program
The Snowmass-Wildcat Fire Protection District believes in community involvement. One thing the community can do to help is to become a member of the “Adopt a Hydrant Program”. This program was created to help keep fire hydrants clear and ready for use. Citizens and civic groups can adopt a hydrant or hydrants within the Fire District.
Residents who adopt hydrants will help by keeping hydrants clear of snow in the winter and overgrowth in the summer. Residents would not be required to perform any maintence but would report blocked or damaged hydrants.
To sign up, please call the SWFPD at (970) 923-2212 and let us know which hydrant you would like to adopt.
